is the MrSwing Messenger? 1. What is the MrSwing Messenger? Larry Swing's Trading Alert Messenger is a small, simple program that allows you to use many effective trading tools, view "on demand" alerts, news, trades and articles from your desktop. It takes less than a minute to download with a dial-up Internet connection. MrSwing offers the Trading Messenger as a free "premium" service for our valued customers and e-mail subscribers. It will not only give you the ability to use charts from your desktop, it will also notify you with MidnightTrader pre-during and post market alerts, volume alerts, earnings alerts, important company info that could move a stock quickly, new trade setups, sector and broad market commentary, education articles and swing trades,and finally... every time there is a fresh post on the popular MrSwing forum. 2. How does the MrSwing Trading Messenger work? After you download and install the software, a small icon is added to the taskbar in the lower right corner of your computer desktop. When your computer is connected to the Internet, the Messenger automatically checks our web site for new updates. If a new update is available, it will appear instantly in your Messenger You can manually check for new messages at any time by right-clicking the icon in your taskbar tray and selecting "Check for New Messages." 3. Why use the Messenger instead of e-mail? No -- the MrSwing Trading Messenger only displays newsletters, messages and alerts from from MrSwing & Team Members. 5. Are there any special hardware or software requirements? The MrSwing Messenger will work on almost any PC as long as you are using Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher as your web browser. Although we do encourage you to use Internet Explorer 6.0 for maximum security reasons. If you are using another web browser (such as Netscape or Mozilla) or an older version of Internet Explorer, you can download the latest version for free by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp. If you are using a Mac computer, you will need to download and run a "PC emulator" program in order to view your messages. The MrSwing Messenger messages are stored in a special "inbox," which you can open at any time by right-clicking the icon in your taskbar tray and selecting "Open Message Browser." To read any message in your inbox, double-click the subject line of the message you wish to open. 7. Can I manage my existing messages? Yes! You can mark MrSwing Messenger messages as "read" or "unread," or delete messages that you do not wish to keep. Note that some messages will "expire" after a certain period of time. To manage your messages in the MrSwing Messenger inbox, click the subject line of the message you wish to change, then select the action you wish to take from the "Options" menu. 8. Does the MrSwing Trading Messenger have "spyware" in it? Absolutely NOT! MrSwing does not create or support spyware products of any kind. Spyware is software that gathers information about your computer without your knowledge. When you download a spyware program (usually disguised as a "helpful" free download), it can begin "spying" and recording information about your computer activity -- including your keystrokes, your Internet search history, and even the passwords you use! Spyware can be extremely difficult to remove from your computer -- so be careful what you download! To find out if a program is spyware before you download it, you can visit SpywareGuide.com and search their list of known spyware programs. If you think you might have inadvertently installed spyware on your computer, you can download Lavasoft's free Ad-Aware program at www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware. This program will search your computer to help you find and remove known spyware programs. 9. Can I customize the settings of the MrSwing Trading Messenger? You can select a sound for the Marketing Tips Messenger to play when it receives a new message, or you can turn off audio notification. In the "Options" menu, select "Change Notification Settings." In the dialog box that appears, click to select an audio notification option. If you choose to play a custom sound, use the button beside the sound name field to browse for the file, then click "Open." Note that you must choose a WAV file for audio notifications (with the extension ".wav" after the filename). 10. How do I turn off the MrSwing Trading Messenger? To turn the MrSwing Messenger off so that you will stop receiving message notifications, simply right-click the icon in your taskbar tray and select "Exit." To start the MrSwing Messenger again at any time, open the "Start" menu (at the lower corner of your computer screen), then select "All Programs" and click "MrSwing Messenger." The Messenger will check for any notifications you have missed.
